Wash

Step 1:

The first step consists in searching a shady spot. The motorcycle should not be exposed directly to the sun because that might cause watermarks on your tank, engine or whatever. When you found your spot make sure your motorcycle has cooled down.

Step 2:

First you want to make sure that you have all the necessary cleaners etc to wash your motorcycle. One thing you will always need is a Total Cleaner. You can use it to clean anything of your motorcycle. Spray the Total Cleaner on the parts of your motorcycle that need it the most, for example the front headlight. While letting your Total Cleaner soak in, you can already clean the wheels. I use a special wheel cleaner for this but you can also use your Total Cleaner.

Now you can take a regular hose and spray down all the soap and dirt from your motorcycle. Depending on how dirty your motorcycle was, you might need to use a sponge to get rid of the dirt.

Step 3:

The next step consists in drying your motorcycle. The best way to do this is with a microfiber towel. These soak up the water and don’t cause any scratches. It is very important that you dry the wheels at last, because they are the dirtiest part on the motorcycle with all the dirt trapped inside the grease. So just in case there is some dirt left you don’t want to get that in your towel and wipe it over the rest of your bike.

Step 4:

Depending on how old or dirty your bike was, you can skip this step. Cleaning and protecting the seat. Here I use a special product to clean an protect the bikes seat. Just spray it on the seat and use a microfiber towel to clean it.

Step 5:

In the last step I use a bike detailer to make my bike shine again. This is some sort of spraywax to seal and protect the paint. Just spray it on the tank and all the other painted parts and rub it in with a microfiber towel.

This was it! Your motorcycle should be shining and be perfectly clean again!
